Our New Home!

"Where thou art - that - is Home." ~Emily Dickinson

New House Living Room

We are excited to have finally moved into our new location!  It is accessible and spacious–a truly welcoming safe haven.  We are extremely grateful to our community for their support during the entire construction/move-in process.  The kindness shown to us will never be forgotten–you have helped to create a safe, warm and comfortable home for our residents and their children.  Thank you!

A special “thank you” goes to the Ministry of Community and Social Services for their financial support and commitment to Interval House of Ottawa.  As well, the support shown by Dufresne Furniture, The Harold Crabtree Foundation, the Community Foundation of Ottawa, the IODE and many others helped us to ensure that our new house was properly outfitted with the equipment and furniture necessary to make our house a home!

We know that our new home will be a beautiful refuge for the women and their children who need our services.

Our fancy new playroom (big thanks to Andrew Fleck Child Care Services for all of their help)!

Special Acknowledgement

We are deeply appreciative of the support Dufresne provided to help us to furnish our new home.  With their support we were able to create a very comfortable, welcoming and stylish environment for our residents and their children to enjoy.  We are truly grateful for their enthusiastic commitment to our organization.

We are also grateful for the support of the Community Foundation of Ottawa.  They helped to fund our Youth Room aka the “Homework Hub”!  This room will provide a valuable space for the young people residing at our home to focus their academic efforts, supporting mothers to encourage positive study habits.
